Production of injection molded parts
In injection mold production, there are more than 75 machines with a clamping force of 250 to 4,000 kN. The production scope also includes fully automated handling systems for insert parts or assembly steps integrated right into the process. From standard batch tracing to gapless logging of production parameters for safety-related components, we serve the high requirements of many different industries.
In the production of technical injection molded parts, we process all thermoplastics, such as POM, PA6/66, PA11/12, PA 4.6, PBT, PC, PEI, PPA, PPE, PPS or PFA and utilize their specific properties in the best possible way. F. Morat is among the few manufacturers that also process various filler and reinforcement materials as well as high temperature-resistant PEEK™ plastic. Our mastery over such a wide range of materials ensures that the most suitable material is used in every situation.
We are continuously adding to our state-of-the-art range of machinery in order to expand and increase capacity, productivity and production options with injection molds of up to 64 cavities (such as fully automated insertion, visual inline inspection and packaging separation as well as process reliability and reproduction using support from an ERP (WinCarat), BDE (ALS) and CAQ (IQS) network.
Here you can see some selected examples of the machinery we use:
Arburg 820S 4000-2100 with complete automation
The three injection molding machines of the Arburg 820S 4000-2100 type were acquired between 2012 and 2015. The automatic system for separating inserted parts and the linear handling system enable us to set up fully automated production, improving both efficiency and process reliability. Processes on the Arburg 820S 4000-2100 mainly utilize multi-cavity molds used to manufacture components for the automotive industry.
Technical data
- Clamping force: 4000 kN
- Internal column spacing: 820 x 820 mm
- Max. stroke volume: 1,078 cm³
- 8-cavity selecting fully automated system
Arburg 570H
Our Arburg 570H 2000-800 injection molding machine was acquired in 2011 and features an automated separation system. Using a linear handling system, inserted parts are placed into the mold and finished parts are removed. The finished parts are transported by a multi-story conveyor system for placement directly into cardboard boxes or small load carriers and swapped based on part counts. Thanks to this fully automated production system, we are able to obtain high efficiency and process reliability. The housing parts with insert pin primarily manufactured on Arburg 570H are used in the automotive industry.
Technical data
- Clamping force: 2000kN
- Internal column spacing: 570 x 570 mm
- Stroke volume of 392 cm³
- 4-cavity selecting fully automated system
ENGEL victory
We acquired three ENGEL victory machines to expand our capacity in 2015. Thanks to their compact design and outstanding energy efficiency, they save space and use up to 50% less energy. The machines have a tie-bar-less design, allowing the interior space of the machines to be used more effectively, also giving the tools a greater level of freedom. As a result, larger tools can be used in a relatively small machine with identical clamping force.
