Plastic ring gears with sintered bushings for automatic start-stop systems
The start-stop system switches the engine off automatically when the vehicle is standing still and starts it again using a special starter motor. This increases the number of starts and the mechanical load significantly. At the same time, the starting process should barely be noticeable to the passengers in the vehicle, which places high demands on the gear components involved:

For this application, we manufacture various different ring gears with internal teeth for the planetary stage of the starter motor. The planetary gear transfers the forces across several parallel sets of gears and helps improve the service life of the system. The high torque enables a powerful yet gentle starting process.
Precise production processes and subsequent single tooth correction service reduce noise emissions to a minimum. The automated press fitting of the sintered bushings in the impellers is essential for their quiet motion. Our development and production expertise is highly valued by renowned automotive suppliers. As a partner to the “Starter Motors and Generators” business unit, the Bosch Group awarded us “Preferred Supplier” status in 2020.

Our injection molded housing parts made from high-quality plastic are ideal for the construction of special pump control systems in the automotive sector, such as in cooling water pumps and fuel pumps. Our components stand out due to their:
